💸What is the JURY protocol? ( Staking )
JURY™️ Protocol ⚖️
▫️Token holders can commit tokens to the JURY Protocol. This is our Dispute Resolution protocol.
▫️We will give a hypothetical dispute every few days for token holders to vote on.
▫️These will help label data and train the machine learning model to solve disputes without human input in the future.
▫️Token holders will get a percentage of their locked token pool as a reward, via airdrop, if they provide the answers that the majority ends upvoting.
Summary: Token holders will have to do work on the blockchain by voting on hypothetical disputes. They will get rewarded subsequently. This is our staking model.

2021.10.22 04:45 kitkatterminator20 My cat yells and bites my head when I turn on the light at night, help?
So as the title says my cat yells at me and bites my head when I’m in bed and I turn on the light. I’m not sure why he does this and how to make him stop. I just adopted him a little over a week ago and besides at night time when he gets onto me for walking (or sometimes sleep walking) he is the cuddliest most loving cat. I’m not sure why he does this and how to get him to stop because I love sleeping next to him. It’s not only when I turn the light on it’s when I turn it off for bed time as well. He’s only 2 years old and this is my first ever cat so I have no idea what I’m doing, anything helps! Ps: he is also not fixed (shelter didn’t have any open surgery dates when I got him so waiting for a call from them to bring him in)

2021.10.22 04:44 StSeanSpicer [BATTLE][RETRO] The Killing Fields of Kinmen
The Killing Fields of Kinmen, June-September 1951
张正林’s world had shrunk to the ten square meters of his earthen bunker. Around him, the constant thuds of PLA artillery fire kicked dust into the dugout’s single vent and shook the electric lantern on the floor. Whenever he dared to look up from the ground, he could see his comrade’s faces, looking like he probably did: shaken.
《一百九十二。。。 一百几十三。。。一百 – 》
恩来 was back at it again, the bastard. Never knew when to shut up.
After their victory on the mainland, the PLA was eager to continue their drive to reunite China, starting with China’s various offshore islands, mostly still in the hands of the RoC. Things were looking up: the nationalists were running back to Taiwan with their tails between their legs. The time to strike was now! There was just one problem.
Yeah. Nevertheless, the PLA made do, mostly by seizing every civilian junk, dinghy, or fishing boat they could find. Despite their complete lack of experience with amphibious operations, they prepared to launch their attacks. Their first target: Hainan.
Despite the numerous difficulties the PLA faced in actually embarking and transporting their troops, the invasion of Hainan went about as well as could be expected. The RoC defenders were stretched far too thin defending a long coastline and attempting to suppress a local PLA insurgency supported by aerial resupply. Furthermore, due to the destruction of the RoC air forces on Hainan, the by now formidable PLAAF was able to quickly cut the island off from outside supplies, drive off the RoC navy, and destroy many of the RoC’s beach defenses. Even though the successive PLA landing waves often got lost, missed their scheduled landing times, or simply failed to embark due to lack of vessels, their sheer numbers and the disorganization of the RoC resulted in a number of viable beachheads being formed, which were quickly shored up with air power and additional reinforcements. Within a month, large-scale RoC resistance on Hainan had collapsed, with most of the defeated RoC troops either captured or killed.
PLA Casualties: 10,000 dead and wounded
RoC Casualties: ~100,000, 5,000 remaining insurgents
The second PLA target was the island of Kinmen. Here, the RoC had learned their lesson about resisting PLA amphibious landings and had made some key changes. Firstly, they were prepared to commit all available air power to keep what they saw as a vital staging ground for an invasion of the mainland. Secondly, they heavily reinforced the island garrison and shipped in numerous artillery and armored units in order to overwhelm the entirely infantry-based PLA landing forces.
The PLA attack was intended to be preceded by a devastating artillery bombardment which would continue until the RoC defenses were crushed. However, General 叶飞, facing strong pressure from Beijing to wrap up the campaign quickly after the decisive victory on Hainan, and lacking adequate intelligence on the actual state of the RoC defenses, ended the bombardment after a few days and moved to launch his assault.
In reality, while the initial PLA bombardment had destroyed many static gun positions, the RoC had taken a page out of the Japanese book and hidden many of their heavy weapons underground or on reverse slopes under camouflage. Most of the RoC infantry remained untouched in their bunkers due to the inaccuracy and relatively low caliber of the artillery fire (high caliber guns being scarce among the PLA and difficult to supply in the poor infrastructure of Fujian).
The initial PLA attack wave was stymied by poor tides and poorer navigation skills, so much so that much of the force had not landed on the island by daybreak. Meanwhile, the force that did land failed to gain the element of surprise. The RoC had been prepared for the attack after the visible preparations and intense artillery bombardment and had stepped up their patrols and search activity, which happened to find the first PLA junk flotilla. The initial PLA landing waves were slaughtered by fire from entrenched RoC positions they could neither see nor harm. Moreover, the artillery was forced to stop firing for fear of hitting their own troops, and the air force was highly inefficient at night operations. By daybreak, the 7,000 PLA troops that had managed to land had been halved in number, with the remainder pinned down on the beaches.
Even during daytime, air power proved fairly ineffective at destroying the RoC positions. Lack of forward air controllers and poor communication impaired the ability of pilots to identify and accurately hit targets. As a result, the second PLA wave, which landed together with stragglers from the first wave, also met extremely strong resistance. However, the initial PLA attack had drawn in many of the RoC reserves, which were now pinned down until nightfall by the PLAAF. As a result, an intended diversionary attack on the eastern side of the island successfully secured a small beachhead clear of RoC defenses. Command was slow to appreciate this development, allowing the RoC to reform their line, but the beachhead held due to PLAAF attacks on any attempted RoC counterattack.
In response to PLAAF bombing, the RoC deployed large portions of their air force, including all of their American-piloted F-86s. In response, the PLAAF deployed their Mig-15s, many piloted by the Soviets. While the Americans generally showed higher skill than their Soviet and especially Chinese opponents, their availability was limited by the distance, and they were outnumbered. RoCAF pilots flying P-51s and P-47s made a valiant effort and provided vital ground support, destroying many junks, but failed to secure air control or decisively swing the battle.
The PLAAF was far more successful at intercepting any attempts by the RoC to reinforce the island. Slow-moving transport vessels on the open ocean proved to be a far easier target than entrenched infantry, and despite the best efforts of the RoCAF, the long journey proved prohibitively dangerous. The RoC troops on Kinmen were on their own.
The PLA attempted to use this to their advantage in the propaganda war, and hoped that the supposedly green conscripts of the garrison would quickly defect, but this, like many of the assumptions underpinning the PLA’s decisions, turned out to be untrue. The RoC troops deployed to the island were generally chosen to be politically reliable and at least adequately trained.
For the rest of the month, RoC troops would resist constant attacks by the PLA by day in their entrenched positions, before redeploying and resting overnight while safe from air attack. Meanwhile, the PLA kept feeding in reinforcements and supplies into the meat grinder. Many were unceremoniously slaughtered, supplies were constantly low, and evacuation of the wounded on the island was virtually nonexistent due to the infrequent arrival of the junk convoys, but morale remained high, and the attacks kept coming. After two weeks, the RoC, having inflicted heavy casualties on the PLA but also having lost most of their armor and spent much of their supplies (despite some captures of misguided PLA supply convoys), were forced to concede that the PLA had established a viable beachhead. Instead, they retreated to a series of defensive lines ending inside 太武山 (Tai Wu Mountain), the island’s key geographic feature.
There, the remaining RoC defenders held out for over a month. Their final stand within the tunnels they had dug into the mountain itself was only dislodged by PLA flamethrowers and bayonet charges, but in the end the interdiction of supplies doomed the RoC resistance. After the surrender of the remaining RoC forces on Kinmen, the lightly-garrisoned islands in the immediate vicinity did the same.
PLA Casualties: 30,000 dead and wounded, 27 Mig-15s, 11 Il-10s, 4 Pe-2s
RoC Casualties: ~40,000, 12 F-86, 9 P-51, 14 P-47
The PLA was eager to continue their string of victories after the capture of Kinmen. However, the extremely bloody battle over Kinmen had destroyed hundreds of transport vessels and killed many officers with amphibious experience. The PLA was forced to postpone plans to seize the Matsu and Wuqiu islands.
TLDR: Hainan essentially goes like IRL, Kinmen initially also goes like IRL, but because the PLAAF manages to secure air and sea control, the PLA just keeps throwing men at the problem until the nationalists break.
